How could the tree be happy if she is just a stump?

The tree is still just a stump, so why is she happy now?

What's the lesson of this book?

2. Brainstorm with your child things they can give away that would be meaningful. It can be something small, and/or an immaterial  gift, such as a gift of time, or playing hide and seek, etc.

3. Work with the kid to put the plan on the calendar and carry it out. Encourage the kids that we will do an experiment to see if it really works and if giving really helps us find joy.
